Once upon a time, there lived an amazing young girl. The girl's name was Zeina lu.  But she wanted us to call her lu. Oh well. Anyway, Zeina was once eating some popcorn... And remembered, "Noooo! I have to do my science fair!". So then, she put the popcorn down, and got started. She found this interesting topic online, at this website, and found a project called "Effect of carbonated drinks on meat". She then thought, "YEAH. This will work :D". She then got started on it immediately. Once Zeina did her research, she found out there was something called a PH LEVEL that we have in our stomach, and that we have in Coca Cola. The Ph level in coca cola is about 2.8 while our stomach's ph level is about 2.0, which is lower, so since our stomach obviously needs to dissolve meat... Why can't Coca Cola? She thought. "...And isn't there a lot of acid in Cola? That should do it!" The three types of meat used were Steak, Salmon, and Chicken Breast...

She put the three types of meat in 3 different bowls, poured 24 oz of Coca Cola in each of them, and set them in Room temperature for 5 days.. She waited.. The first few days, nothing really happened.. At the last two days of the experiment, the salmons' scales started falling off. The only type of meat that actually changed, or dissolved maybe just a little, was the Salmon! Zeina wondered why.. Now, don't get it mixed up. It didn't dissolve all the way. Just the scales started breaking off, and it was defiantly smaller then how it was in the beginning.. The chicken breast and the steak didn't really dissolve. Zeina was surprised with the results! She thought that all three of the meats would dissolve all the way!

That weekend, she knew she had to finish her board. She didn't think she could she could to do it alone.. SO she invited her friend over. That freind's name was Sydni Rigo. They finished some things, but they also had a nice time. That Sunday, she finally finished. She didn't like it that much, but she hoped that the judges do. 


                          




That was her board! What do you think of it? She hoped that the display and look was good. But she was very worried about her presentation. When it came to the time to present to the judges, she had goosebumps, a lot of them. They called, "Zeina, your turn!" And she took a deep and loud swallow, and walked to the table.. There, was a nice, red-headed, averaged-highted. She looked like she was in college.. But she was actually a science teacher at a different school. She did have some criticizm about Zeina's project, but she accepted it, and wish she could of done better.

The judge stated that Zeina probably should of  "Labeled the graphs", and probably should of "Weighed the meat". Zeina was sad... She didn't think the judge liked her board. She knew she wouldn't win anything.. When she left the PAC building... She felt kinda relieved. She worked hard on that project.. And wasn't obsessed with winning 1st place, but if it happened.. She would be very happy.. Just knowing that she got an award for all her hard work! :D
